Macomb, IL – Community members across western Illinois can shop handcrafted holiday gifts this week as Western Illinois University hosts its annual Holiday Art Sale today through Wednesday in the WIU University Union Brattain Lounge.

According to the university, the sale runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Monday–Wednesday, Dec. 15–17, and features original works created by WIU student artists. Shoppers can browse ceramics, prints, jewelry, photography and additional gift items designed specifically for the holiday season.

Event organizers say a portion of every purchase will go directly toward supporting participating students, helping fund their artistic development, materials, and educational opportunities. The sale also offers community members an opportunity to connect with local emerging artists and support student creativity ahead of the holidays.

In addition to the art sale, the Fifth Annual Little Rocky Dog Silent Auction—hosted by the Office of Student Engagement—will also take place inside the Brattain Lounge during the same hours. Attendees can bid on a variety of items while contributing additional financial support for WIU student artists.

The university encourages residents, faculty, staff, and visitors to stop by any time during open hours to find unique, handcrafted gift options before the end of the three-day event. For more information, WIU lists Susan Czechowski at 309-333-7455 as the primary contact.
