Macomb County, MI Man Arrested After Home Invasion and Carjacking Pursuit

Harrison Township, MI – A 52-year-old man from Port Huron was taken into custody Monday afternoon after a violent series of incidents that included a home invasion, carjacking, and multi-jurisdictional police pursuit, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect was apprehended at approximately 1:38 p.m. near Corto Street and Reimold Street in Harrison Township after law enforcement agencies from multiple jurisdictions coordinated to stop the vehicle.

According to Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, deputies from Macomb County worked alongside officers from St. Clair Shores and Clinton Township Police Departments, as well as several surrounding jurisdictions, to safely end the chase. “Thanks to the coordinated efforts during the pursuit, deputies successfully apprehended a dangerous individual, removing a serious threat from our communities,” Wickersham said in a statement.

The sheriff’s office confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public. The case remains under active investigation, and authorities have not released additional details about the suspect’s motives or charges.

Officials expressed gratitude to all assisting agencies for their swift, professional response and said updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
