Macomb Township, MI — A 58-year-old Harrison Township man was apprehended early Wednesday after a vehicle pursuit and rollover crash. Macomb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 3 a.m. to a reported disturbance involving two neighbors.
Deputies quickly recognized the suspect as having multiple outstanding felony warrants. A deputy spotted the man driving a GMC Yukon on Joy Boulevard and initiated a traffic stop. The suspect ignored orders, accelerating instead.
During the chase, the suspect briefly lost control, veered into a ditch, and reentered the road. Deputies lost visual contact but regained sight as the suspect rolled the vehicle again, leaving the roadway. The Harrison Township Fire Department transported the man to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
Officials believe alcohol played a role in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and charges are expected.
Macomb County authorities urge residents to report suspicious activity and encourage neighbors to prioritize safety.
