According to a release from PSP Troop N–Hazleton, troopers responded to the Professional Auto Repair shop on 52 West 23rd Street around 5:04 p.m. on April 14, 2023, for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police discovered 18-year-old Rolando K. Cepeda suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
Investigators identified three individuals allegedly involved in the shooting. Two suspects were arrested and are awaiting trial, while the third—Eliezer Santana, 19, of Hazleton—remains at large.
Santana has been charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault and is considered armed and dangerous, according to authorities. His current whereabouts are unknown.
