Louisville, KY – Cooler weather will linger across Kentucky this weekend, bringing occasional light precipitation but no major travel disruptions, according to the U.S. National Weather Service in Louisville.

Forecasters say temperatures will remain below normal through Monday, with highs generally in the upper 30s to mid-40s and overnight lows dipping into the 20s. Friday night’s low is expected to fall between 23 and 28 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will stay mostly dry across the region, though a few light flurries or sprinkles could develop during the day. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-40s by afternoon.

A better chance for light rain arrives Sunday, with about a 40% chance of showers mainly during the day. Any rainfall should be light, and afternoon highs are forecast to reach the 40s. Rain could taper off Sunday night as a few snowflakes mix in, but meteorologists say no significant accumulation or travel impacts are anticipated.

By Monday, colder air returns, bringing a mix of rain and snow showers in the morning before clearing skies later in the day. Highs will remain near 40 degrees with overnight lows in the 20s.

Drivers are advised to remain cautious on bridges and overpasses early Monday, as brief slick spots could develop if temperatures dip near freezing.
