Louisville, KY – Warm and dry conditions are set to continue across Kentucky as residents head into the first weekend of October. According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, sunny skies and above-normal temperatures will dominate the forecast through Friday, with no chance of rain until early next week.

Today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs between 83 and 88 degrees. Tonight will be partly cloudy and cooler, with temperatures dipping into the low 50s to around 60 degrees.

On Thursday, forecasters expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid-80s, while Friday will stay mostly sunny and pleasant, ranging from 79 to 85 degrees. Overnight lows will remain seasonably mild, keeping early mornings comfortable for outdoor activities.

Meteorologists note that the next chance for measurable rainfall is not expected until early next week, giving Kentuckians several more days of dry weather. The extended stretch of sunshine could be beneficial for harvest season but may also increase the need for extra lawn and garden watering.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the mild start to October, especially with fall foliage beginning to emerge across the region. Travelers should experience smooth conditions on area highways, with no weather-related disruptions expected through the weekend.
