Louisville, KY – The National Weather Service Louisville reports that a cool and unsettled weather pattern will continue across Kentucky this week, with multiple rounds of rain and below-average temperatures through Thursday.
Light rain showers are expected to move across the region today, with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Forecast maps show around a quarter to half an inch of rainfall for most areas, with locally higher totals near Bowling Green and Elizabethtown.
Another system is set to bring additional rain on Wednesday and Thursday, keeping skies cloudy and temperatures cool, with highs only in the low to mid-50s. By Friday, drier air will return, and forecasters say Halloween looks cold but dry, offering a break from the recent damp conditions.
Overnight lows through midweek will dip into the low 40s, and patchy fog may develop in the mornings where rain has recently fallen.
The weather service advises residents to plan for wet commutes through midweek and to keep jackets handy for a chilly but clear Halloween night.
