Louisville, Ky. – Football fans across central Kentucky and southern Indiana will need patience Friday morning as dense fog blankets the region, reducing visibility to less than half a mile. Drivers heading to schools and stadiums should allow extra time, especially near the Ohio River and along I-65, I-64, and I-71. The fog is expected to lift by late morning, giving way to sunny skies and a comfortable evening for high school football kickoffs.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, once the fog clears Friday afternoon, conditions turn ideal for outdoor events. Temperatures will top out near 79 degrees before dipping into the upper 50s overnight, keeping the air crisp under mostly clear skies.

Saturday looks even better for college football in Louisville and Lexington, with sunshine and highs in the low 80s. A light north wind will keep conditions comfortable in stadiums from Kroger Field to L&N Stadium. Sunday brings another warm, sunny day with highs around 85, perfect for tailgating and NFL watch parties.

Fans can expect the dry and mild stretch to continue into early next week, making for one of the most pleasant football weekends of the fall so far.
