Louisville, KY Weather: Showers End by Afternoon, Cooler Air Tonight Through Sunday

Louisville, Ky. – Scattered showers are moving across Kentucky this morning, but skies are expected to clear by afternoon, bringing a stretch of drier, cooler weather through Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, highs will reach the upper 60s to mid-70s today before dipping into the upper 40s to low 50s overnight under mostly clear skies. Cities like Lexington, Danville, and Campbellsville could see temperatures bottom out near 46, while Louisville and Elizabethtown hold closer to 52.

Travel conditions should improve later today as rain ends, but wet roads may remain slick through midday. Cooler air will make for a refreshing Saturday night across much of the state, giving residents a taste of early fall. Sunday is expected to stay dry with highs in the 70s, making it a favorable day for outdoor plans.

Forecasters note that a dry pattern will hold for much of next week, offering several days of sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
