Louisville, KY – Clear skies and warm temperatures are on the way for Kentucky as the week winds down, bringing residents a pleasant stretch of weather heading into the weekend.

According to the US National Weather Service Louisville, skies will clear tonight (Thursday, Sept. 25) with lows in the mid-50s across much of the state. By Friday, conditions are expected to remain mostly sunny, with highs ranging between 75 and 78 degrees.

Forecasters noted that while there are low-end chances of showers near the Lake Cumberland region Friday, most areas across central and western Kentucky will stay dry. Friday night temperatures will drop to the low- to upper-50s, setting up a warmer weekend ahead.

Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. By Sunday, temperatures could climb into the low- to mid-80s, providing one of the warmest days of the week. Meteorologists said the pattern marks a shift into a drier, more stable stretch of weather after several unsettled days earlier this week.

Residents planning outdoor activities are advised to take advantage of the mild, sunny conditions, especially as early fall events continue across the region.
