Louisville, KY – Showers and thunderstorms are set to affect southern Indiana and central Kentucky, including Louisville, throughout the week. The most significant chances for rain will be along and south of the western Kentucky and Bluegrass Parkways.
According to the US National Weather Service in Louisville, heavy downpours may cause localized flooding, particularly in areas that have experienced substantial rainfall recently. The unsettled weather is forecast to persist until at least Thursday, when a cold front is expected to move into the region from the north.
Today, temperatures will range from 80 to 87 degrees, with a 60% chance of showers and storms in the southern parts of the state. Tonight, the temperature will drop to between 65 and 72 degrees, with lingering storms primarily in the south.
On Wednesday, expect a high of 81 to 87 degrees with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Thursday brings a 60% chance of rain, with highs again reaching up to 87 degrees. By Friday, there is a 30% chance of storms, especially in southern Kentucky, with temperatures climbing to 89 degrees.
Highs over the next few days will hover in the low to mid-80s, with overnight lows ranging from the mid-60s to around 70. Localized flooding remains a concern, particularly for regions that have already received significant rainfall.
