Louisville, KY – Kentucky residents can expect another stretch of sunny and unseasonably warm October weather this week, with highs running about five degrees above normal across the region, according to the US National Weather Service Louisville.

Forecasters say a strong ridge of high pressure will keep conditions dry and pleasant through Friday, with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s—and some southern areas, like Bowling Green and Campbellsville, nearing 80 degrees.

According to the Weather Service, skies will remain mostly clear with light winds, and no rain is expected until late in the weekend. Overnight lows will stay mild, generally in the 40s and 50s, making for comfortable mornings.

While this week’s pattern favors fall outdoor activities, a shift toward cooler temperatures and rain chances is expected by the weekend as a new weather system moves into the Ohio Valley.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the dry stretch before the return of unsettled conditions early next week.
