Shreveport, LA – A weak cold front is pushing across northern Louisiana late Monday, setting the stage for a cooler and drier night ahead.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, low temperatures are expected to drop into the low to mid-50s in many areas overnight, with slightly drier air arriving from the north. Cities like Texarkana, Mount Pleasant, and El Dorado may see lows near 50°F.

By Tuesday afternoon, highs will rebound into the mid to upper 70s under partly cloudy skies. Although not a major temperature drop, the lower humidity will offer more comfortable conditions across the ArkLaTex region.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the brief cooldown as warmer and more humid air is forecasted to return by midweek. North winds will dominate through early Tuesday, enhancing drying trends.

No significant weather hazards are expected with this frontal passage, but outdoor enthusiasts may want to take advantage of the clearer skies and mild weather.
