Shreveport, LA – The National Weather Service in Shreveport is warning of cool and foggy conditions overnight, with widespread fog expected to form late tonight into Monday morning across the Ark-La-Tex region.
Low temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 50s, creating a setup favorable for fog development as moisture increases near the surface. The highest risk of dense fog is expected along a corridor stretching through central portions of the region, where visibility may fall below 5 miles, and in some spots, below 1 mile.
Drivers are urged to use caution on morning commutes, as visibility may vary rapidly over short distances. The NWS advises using low-beam headlights, slowing down, and leaving extra space between vehicles when fog is present.
Fog should gradually lift by late Monday morning, giving way to partly cloudy skies and mild conditions during the afternoon.
This fog event marks another sign of the humid autumn pattern that has persisted in the region, with elevated environmental moisture continuing into early this week.
