Shreveport, Louisiana – Thunderstorms will begin pushing through Shreveport by Wednesday morning, bringing up to half an inch of rainfall and the potential for minor flooding in low-lying areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, a round of scattered showers may begin as early as 10 a.m. Wednesday, followed by possible thunderstorms continuing into Wednesday night. Rain chances increase again Thursday afternoon and peak Friday with a 60% likelihood of widespread showers.

Roads like I-20 and LA-3132 may see slick conditions during commute hours, especially late Wednesday and Friday morning. Southeast winds between 5 and 10 mph will accompany the system, keeping humidity high and temperatures in the mid-80s. Visibility could be reduced during heavy downpours.

Residents are advised to monitor weather alerts, avoid driving through flooded intersections, and keep devices charged in case of power outages. The storm pattern may disrupt outdoor events and school activities across Caddo and Bossier parishes.

Showers may taper off late Friday night, but light rain and isolated storms could return Saturday. Additional advisories may be issued as the system develops.
