Sabine Parish, LA – A 24-year-old Many man was killed early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 6.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 6:27 a.m. when Christopher Peveto’s 2011 Ford Escape veered off the road for unknown reasons. The vehicle traveled down an embankment and struck a tree.
Police reported Peveto was not wearing a seat belt at the time. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Routine toxicology samples were collected for analysis as part of the investigation.
Officials emphasized the importance of seat belt usage following the crash. Proper restraints can significantly reduce injuries and save lives in similar incidents.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police urge drivers to remain vigilant, wear seat belts, and prioritize safety on Louisiana highways.
