Louisiana Fog Advisory in Effect Until 9 AM: Hazardous Driving Conditions on I-20

Shreveport, LA – A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. today for portions of northern Louisiana, south-central Arkansas, and east Texas, making travel on I-20 and I-49 potentially dangerous. Visibility could drop to a quarter-mile or less, creating hazardous conditions for morning commuters.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, patchy dense fog will persist overnight and gradually clear by mid-morning. Drivers should use low-beam headlights, reduce speed, and leave extra space between vehicles.

Later today, rain chances increase to 50% with scattered showers expected throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will reach a high of 58°F before dropping to 48°F tonight. Winds will remain light but shift southeast at 5-10 mph.

Looking ahead, Thursday brings a higher chance of showers and possible thunderstorms, with a high of 72°F. Winds could gust up to 30 mph in the afternoon before clearing late Thursday night. Sunshine returns Friday, with highs near 65°F, followed by a warmer weekend with temperatures reaching 74°F by Sunday.
