New Orleans, LA – Thick fog is reducing visibility to a quarter-mile or less across southeast Louisiana, creating hazardous driving conditions early Monday morning. Commuters on I-10 and surrounding roadways should use caution, reduce speed, and keep headlights on low beam.

According to the National Weather Service, a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. for much of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. Visibility is expected to fluctuate quickly, potentially leading to dangerous travel conditions. Drivers should allow extra travel time and avoid sudden stops.

As the fog clears, Monday will bring sunny skies with a high near 75°F. Overnight, temperatures will dip to 58°F under partly cloudy skies. Looking ahead, expect mostly cloudy conditions on Tuesday with highs in the mid-70s. A slight chance of showers arrives Wednesday afternoon before a warming trend continues into Thursday, bringing mostly sunny skies and a high of 78°F.

For real-time updates, check the National Weather Service or local traffic reports. If driving, stay alert and maintain extra following distance.
