During the training, the team held a ceremony to honor Divers Custodio, Mullis, and Nelson for completing more than a year of service with the dive team.
In a first-of-its-kind tradition, Divers Mullis and Nelson were presented with their official dive pins underwater, at the bottom of the training pool, while wearing their full gear — a symbolic gesture of dedication to the team and its mission.
Diver Custodio received his pin later in the week, surrounded by fellow dive team members, Lieutenant Colonels, and family members.
