Loudoun County, VA – A Loudoun County man is facing serious charges after deputies seized large amounts of narcotics, firearms, and cash in Ashburn this week.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), James Lamarr McTillman, 39, of Ashburn, was arrested following a weeks-long investigation by the agency’s Drug and Gang Unit. Detectives began monitoring McTillman after reports surfaced that he was allegedly distributing cocaine in the area.
On September 19, 2025, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and executed two residential search warrants linked to McTillman. He was taken into custody and initially found with 1.5 ounces of powder cocaine, authorities said. McTillman remains held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on one count of Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Additional charges are pending.
Deputies reported seizing 5.73 kilograms of crack cocaine, 0.18 kilograms of cocaine, 18.35 pounds of marijuana, and one pound of psilocybin mushrooms. They also found approximately 150 suspected fentanyl pills and between 10 and 15 ounces of liquid PCP. In addition, investigators recovered $4,418 in cash, three firearms with ammunition and a silencer, and equipment used in the manufacture of crack cocaine. Evidence of a marijuana growing operation and materials consistent with a robbery kit, including flex cuffs, bear spray, a taser, and a manipulated security badge, were also collected. Surveillance devices such as GPS trackers and RF detectors were seized as well.
“The scope of this seizure underscores the serious threat that is posed by regional and national drug distribution networks,” said Sheriff Mike Chapman. “We will stop at nothing to dismantle any drug trafficking operation that sets up shop in Loudoun County.”
The LCSO investigation remains active as detectives consult with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney and federal partners.
