Sterling, VA – A domestic-related shooting left two men dead early Monday in Sterling, prompting an active investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), deputies responded around 12:30 a.m. Monday to a reported shooting at a residence in Sterling. When deputies arrived, they located one deceased victim inside the home.

Investigators determined the incident was domestic in nature and involved a father and son.

Authorities identified the victim as Jose Francisco Guerra Caceres, 51, of Sterling. The suspect, identified as Francisco Javier Guerra Villalta, 26, also of Sterling, was located deceased inside the residence from what officials said was an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The investigation remains active, according to the sheriff’s office. Officials stated there is no ongoing threat to the community.
