Loudoun County, VA – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has arrested Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department (AVFRD) Chief William Graham II, 66, of Ashburn, following an investigation into alleged embezzlement of station funds.

According to the LCSO, detectives began investigating after Graham reported what he described as fraudulent charges totaling $2,000 on a department-issued credit card. The inquiry led investigators to identify what they allege was embezzlement of AVFRD funds.

Graham has been charged with Embezzlement by a Public Officer, the Sheriff’s Office said in a media release issued Wednesday. He was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and later released on an unsecured bond.
