Los Angeles, CA – Morning fog and midweek rain could create hazardous driving conditions for Los Angeles commuters as the first full week of February begins.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday will start with patchy fog before clearing to a high of 72°F. However, increasing cloud cover signals a shift, with a slight chance of rain Monday night. Rain intensifies Tuesday, with a 60% chance of precipitation in the afternoon, increasing to 80% by Tuesday night. Showers may persist into Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures staying in the low 60s.
Drivers on I-5, the 101, and the 405 Freeway should expect slower speeds and possible traffic congestion due to wet roads and reduced visibility. Coastal areas may experience minor flooding, and gusty winds could create additional hazards.
Air quality officials have extended a mandatory wood-burning ban for Los Angeles and surrounding counties. Residents should prepare for a wet, foggy week ahead.
