Los Angeles, CA – The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has extended a Heat Advisory for much of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, warning that temperatures could reach up to 93 degrees from 10 a.m. Tuesday through 7 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the NWS, the advisory includes the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, Ventura County Coast and Valleys, and Los Angeles coastal areas—including Santa Monica, Downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, and Thousand Oaks.

Forecasters say the warm and dry pattern will persist through midweek, bringing an elevated risk of heat-related illness, particularly among children, older adults, outdoor workers, and those without air conditioning.

Officials recommend staying hydrated, avoiding direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours, and checking on vulnerable neighbors. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also reminds outdoor workers to take frequent breaks in shaded areas.

Temperatures are expected to ease slightly by Thursday as a weak marine layer begins to return to coastal areas.
