Los Angeles County, CA – A major narcotics investigation across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties has led to one of the largest drug busts in Southern California this year, officials announced Monday.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, detectives with the Narcotics Bureau, working alongside the DEA Los Angeles Division and Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, executed multiple search warrants tied to a large-scale drug distribution network.
The coordinated operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 263 kilograms of methamphetamine, 19 kilograms of cocaine, and 1 kilogram of heroin, authorities said. Ten packages containing 10,000 fentanyl-laced M30 pills each were also recovered.
In addition to narcotics, deputies confiscated four handguns, two fully automatic submachine guns, one assault pistol, and one 7.62 caliber assault rifle. Investigators also seized ammunition, cash, and assorted magazines.
Sheriff’s officials said the bust underscores the value of inter-agency collaboration in tackling major narcotics trafficking organizations operating across county lines.
“Our continued partnership with local, state, and federal agencies reflects our commitment to protecting communities and combating large-scale narcotics trafficking,” LASD said in a statement.
Authorities have not yet disclosed arrest details or total street value of the seizure.
