Farmingdale, NY – Drivers in Suffolk County should prepare for significant traffic changes this week as the 2025 PGA Ryder Cup comes to Bethpage Black. Multiple road closures will affect daily commutes and local travel beginning Monday.

According to the New York State Police, Round Swamp Road will be closed from Winding Road to Quaker Meeting House Road starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, and will remain shut until Monday, Sept. 29, at 6 a.m.

Quaker Meeting House Road will also be closed daily from Tuesday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 28, between 4:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. In addition, Clubhouse Road, which connects to the Bethpage State Parkway, will be restricted to rideshare vehicles only from Sept. 23 through Sept. 28 between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The closures are designed to manage the influx of spectators expected for the Ryder Cup, one of golf’s largest international tournaments. Police are urging motorists to plan ahead and allow extra travel time if driving near Bethpage State Park.
