Streeter, ND – Two people were killed and another seriously injured Wednesday morning after a head-on collision involving two semi-trucks on Highway 30, about three miles south of Streeter, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 8:34 a.m. on December 24 when a 2026 International truck pulling a semi-trailer was traveling north and collided with a 2025 Kenworth truck pulling double semi-trailers headed south. Both drivers — a 39-year-old man from Moorhead, Minnesota, and a 54-year-old man from Wishek, North Dakota — died at the scene.
A 41-year-old passenger from East Grand Forks, Minnesota, riding in the International truck, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.
The crash closed Highway 30 for about six hours while investigators and emergency crews from Stutsman and Logan County sheriff’s offices, Medina and Streeter fire departments, Gackle Ambulance, and Sanford AirMed responded to the scene. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
