According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Michael Filicetti announced the arrest of Derek M. Ficarra, 53, of Lockport, on September 29. Ficarra was allegedly found in possession of controlled substances with the intent to sell, following an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Officials said Ficarra faces two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell in the third degree, along with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree. The arrest stemmed from a warrant executed by members of the task force in the city of Lockport.

Ficarra was held at the Niagara County Jail pending arraignment, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities have not released details about the type or quantity of substances allegedly involved in the case.
