LOWELL, IN – Indiana Police made a significant drug bust near Lowell on Tuesday, resulting in the seizure of over 230 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $300,000.
According to the Winfield Police Department, the K9 unit, led by Sergeant Garpow and his partner Rak, played a crucial role in the operation. It began during a routine traffic stop on I-65, when officers grew suspicious and called for the K9’s assistance.
Rak, the highly trained K9 officer, quickly sniffed out the drugs, leading to a thorough search that uncovered the illicit stash.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department has taken over the case, intensifying efforts to dismantle drug networks in the area. No names or charges associated with the case have yet to be released.
