MOMENCE, IL – The Kankakee Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Greater Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church on East Grove Street in Momence on Sunday around 7 pm.
According to reports, deputies responded to an alarm call and found the front door had been kicked in upon arrival. The Sheriff’s Department is urging anyone with any information on the incident to come forward and contact CrimeStoppers at 815-93CRIME.
All tips to CrimeStoppers are anonymous and could result in a cash reward.
This is not the first time a church has been burglarized in the area. In recent years, several churches in the Kankakee County have been targeted by thieves, prompting authorities to issue a warning to local churches to take extra precautions.
