Limestone Township Library District in Illinois is set to host the Friends of the Library Semi-Annual Book Sale from March 20. The sale will take place in the library hallway, where visitors can browse through tables and carts of books, including old favorites and new discoveries. Hardbacks will cost $1 each, paperbacks and children’s books will be available for $0.50 each, and DVDs will be sold for $1.
To make the sale a success, the library is currently accepting donations of gently used books and materials. However, donors are limited to two boxes of materials at a time. Textbooks, encyclopedias, and books on business, computers, and health issues over five years old will not be accepted.
Aside from the book sale, the library has several upcoming events planned for visitors of all ages. On March 13 at 4:30 PM, the FFA Club from Herscher High School will be returning to host a Storytime event for younger visitors. The Adult Book Club will meet on March 14 at 6:30 PM to discuss the book “The Cat I Never Named” by Amra Sabric-El-Rayess. Copies of the book will be available at the front desk.
On March 17, the library will offer a St. Patrick’s Day Take-and-Make Project while Adult Craft Night will take place on March 20 at 6:30 PM. During this event, visitors will create Pressed-Flower Lanterns using smooth Mason jars and dried flowers, with all necessary supplies provided free of charge. Storytime with Ms. Holly will be held on March 22 at 10:15 AM, followed by Puppet Storytime with Mr. William and Ms. Holly on March 25 at 11:00 AM.
