LISLE, IL – Spay Illinois, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping animals, will soon reach a major milestone in their efforts to reduce pet overpopulation in Illinois. The organization’s Surgical Center will perform its 100,000th spay/neuter surgery in early April, a huge accomplishment for the group after 14 years of providing low-cost, high-quality services to pet owners in the area.

The surgeries performed by Spay Illinois have contributed to a significant decrease in pet overpopulation, which has led to fewer animals being surrendered to animal shelters. According to Kathi Daniels, CEO and Founder of Spay Illinois, the surgeries have prevented close to a million litters of puppies and kittens from being born.

“Our affordable surgeries allow pet owners to enjoy the benefits and joys of having pets without worrying about litters they can’t afford to care for,” says Daniels. “Spay Illinois is committed to helping pet owners who have limited resources or access to affordable pet care.”

Spay Illinois also operates a Wellness Clinic that provides exams, vaccines, and routine care for cats and dogs. The organization plans to open a larger clinic and expand their services in the coming years.
