Man Found Dead in Pond at a Dupage County Forest Preserve

Churchill Woods Forest Preserve, DuPage County, IL– A man’s lifeless body was found in a pond at Churchill Woods Forest Preserve on Thursday evening. 

Two fishermen made the grim discovery near the East Branch of the DuPage River at approximately 5:41 p.m. Authorities, including the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office and local police and fire departments, responded to the scene. 

As of early Friday afternoon, no foul play was suspected, but a death investigation is ongoing.
