In line with this theme, a new Community Campus is currently under construction on Route 102 Main Street. Although access may be limited due to construction, the campus is expected to be fully functional by the summer of 2024.

Along with the construction theme, the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival has also announced four scholarship opportunities for individuals enrolling or enrolled in college or vocational training.

The Mianna Malone Scholarship is intended for individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to community service. The Patte Thompson Scholarship is open to all students enrolled in college or vocational training. Lastly, the Lee Braford Scholarship is available for high school seniors who have shown dedication to community service.

Applications for these scholarships are due by April 30th, and the 2023 forms are available on their website.

The Bourbonnais Friendship Festival hopes to foster lasting relationships within the community and provide opportunities for students to pursue their educational goals.
