Nunda, NY – A Nunda man faces felony charges in Livingston County after a domestic dispute investigation.

According to Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty, deputies responded Friday, December 19, 2025, to an address in the Village of Nunda for a reported domestic incident involving a physical altercation and property damage.

Following an investigation, authorities allege that 38-year-old Frank Molnar physically punched another individual and damaged a vehicle belonging to another party involved in the dispute.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Deputy Joshua Batalla arrested Molnar and charged him with felony Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation.

Molnar was transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. He was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) before Town of Conesus Justice Coyne.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Molnar was released on his own recognizance, as the charges do not qualify for bail under New York State’s Bail Reform Act.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Molnar at arraignment. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office appeared on behalf of the People.

Authorities said the investigation was conducted by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. The charges are allegations, and Molnar is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Domestic-related arrests can affect residents across small communities, including students and young working adults in shared housing situations.
