Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reported that deputies responded around 12:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, to Railroad Avenue in the Town of Conesus after receiving a report of a possible stabbing. Authorities say the altercation occurred during a physical dispute between two individuals.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Adam Rogers of Conesus allegedly became involved in a fight and stabbed another individual during the confrontation. Deputies arrested Rogers at the scene and charged him with felony assault in the second degree.
Rogers was transported to the Livingston County Jail for booking and later arraigned before Town of Caledonia Justice Riggi at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part. The District Attorney’s Office recommended bail be set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. Rogers was remanded to the Sheriff’s custody.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Rogers during arraignment, while the District Attorney’s Office represented the People.
