North Dansville, NY – A Mount Morris resident was arrested on felony charges after a vehicle theft investigation in North Dansville, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday, September 28, deputies responded to a Hornell Road residence for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Investigators identified the suspect as 33-year-old Gabriel Bingham of Mount Morris. Sheriff’s deputies allege Bingham committed Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and took him into custody.
According to Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty, Bingham was transported to the Livingston County Jail, where he was processed and held for pre-arraignment detention. He was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) before Nunda Justice Morris.
The judge remanded Bingham to the custody of the Sheriff without the option of bail, citing two or more prior felony convictions. The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Bingham, while the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office appeared for the prosecution.
The investigation was handled by members of the Sheriff’s Patrol Division, FIU Division, and Criminal Investigations Division.
