Livingston County, MI – A coordinated police pursuit across county lines ended safely last week when Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies helped Bath Township Police apprehend a suspect reportedly armed with a handgun and wanted for domestic violence, officials confirmed.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 12 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2025, when deputies were alerted that Bath Township officers were in pursuit of a vehicle traveling westbound on I-96 from Ingham County into Livingston County.
Deputies joined the chase and helped bring the vehicle to a stop after a successful Taser deployment, authorities said. The suspect was taken into custody without injury to officers or the public and later turned over to Bath Township Police at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials praised the seamless coordination between agencies, crediting the teamwork for ensuring a safe outcome. “Great teamwork makes our communities safer,” the department said in a statement.
The investigation remains under the jurisdiction of Bath Township Police. No additional details about the suspect’s identity or charges have been released.
