Livingston County Authorities Break Up Alleged Drug Operation in Pontiac

Pontiac, IL – A drug investigation in Pontiac led to three arrests following the execution of a search warrant on Sunday. Authorities allege the operation involved methamphetamine distribution from a residence in the 700 block of West Grove Street.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, the raid was conducted by the Pro-Active Unit and Pontiac TRT, with support from the Livingston County State’s Attorney’s Office, Pontiac Police, and others. The search resulted in the arrests of Anthony G. Williams, 27, Jessica A. Scherer, 31, and Craig L. May, 34.

Williams faces multiple charges, including three alleged counts of delivering a controlled substance and intent to deliver methamphetamine. Scherer was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful firearm use. May faces charges of delivering methamphetamine and resisting arrest.

All suspects remain in custody at the Livingston County Jail, pending legal proceedings. Authorities emphasized that individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
