Little Rock, AR – Warm and dry conditions are settling in across Arkansas today, raising ongoing concerns for fire danger even as temperatures climb into the 70s this afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, highs will reach between 70°F and 76°F statewide today, including around 73°F in Little Rock, 75°F in Fort Smith, and near 76°F in El Dorado. Despite recent rainfall, several counties—especially across southern and eastern Arkansas—remain under active burn bans due to dry ground conditions.

Wildfire danger remains moderate across most of the state, meaning fires can still spread under the right conditions, particularly with dry vegetation and occasional breezes. Areas including Pine Bluff, Monticello, and El Dorado should remain especially cautious.

Overnight, temperatures will fall into the upper 40s to low 50s, with Little Rock near 50°F and northern areas like Harrison dropping into the mid-40s.

A steady warming trend continues through the rest of the week, with highs climbing into the upper 70s and low 80s by Thursday and into the weekend. Longer-range outlooks show above-normal temperatures and increasing chances for rain early next week.

Residents should avoid outdoor burning and follow local restrictions, as fire خطر remains a concern until more widespread rainfall returns.
