Little Rock, AR – Arkansas residents can expect a mainly dry stretch through the upcoming week, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, with only minor day-to-day temperature swings as several weak cold fronts pass through the region.

Forecasters say conditions will remain “basically dry” through at least December 13, with little to no precipitation expected across the state. High temperatures will generally range from the lower 50s in northern areas to the upper 50s in southern Arkansas, while overnight lows dip into the 30s and low 40s.

Saturday’s highs will hover around the low 50s statewide, followed by chilly lows Sunday morning between 35 and 40 degrees. Temperatures are forecast to rebound early next week, with highs near 60°F by Tuesday before cooling again midweek.

The NWS noted that while no major storm systems are expected, a series of dry cold fronts will cause temperatures to “bounce around a bit” over the next several days. Overall, the pattern favors calm, seasonal weather with no major rain, snow, or severe weather threats in sight.

Residents can take advantage of the mild stretch for outdoor activities before colder air returns later in December.
