LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A stretch of unseasonably warm and sunny weather is expected to continue through the weekend across Arkansas, bringing highs in the low to upper 80s and plenty of clear skies. After a mild start to October, residents can expect summerlike warmth for outdoor plans Saturday and Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, cloud cover will remain minimal across the state with less than 10% coverage through Sunday afternoon. Lows will stay comfortable in the upper 50s to mid-60s each morning, while daytime readings rise quickly under full sunshine. The warmest locations, including Fort Smith, Texarkana, and Monticello, may reach 86–87°F by Sunday.

Drivers traveling along I-40 and I-30 can expect excellent visibility both days, with no rain or fog expected. The warm, dry pattern will also aid harvest operations and outdoor events, though residents are reminded that warm afternoons may feel more like late summer. Light winds and clear nights could still allow for cooler valleys, especially in northern counties.

The NWS advises staying hydrated and dressing in light layers for daytime activities. With high pressure dominating, no significant fronts or rain chances are expected until early next week.
