Little Rock, Arkansas – Much warmer-than-normal temperatures will kick off the weekend across Arkansas on Friday, followed by a brief cooldown Saturday before warmer conditions return by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, Friday will feature well above normal temperatures statewide, with dry conditions and afternoon highs reaching the upper 60s to low 70s in many locations. Cities along major corridors such as I-30, I-40, I-55, and US-67 are expected to see favorable travel conditions with no rain impacts.

A dry cold front is forecast to move through the state on Saturday, bringing a noticeable but short-lived drop in temperatures. Highs will fall back into the 50s and lower 60s, especially across northern and central Arkansas, including areas near I-40 from Russellville to Conway. Despite the cooler air, no precipitation is expected with the front.

By Sunday, temperatures are forecast to rebound once again, climbing back above seasonal averages. Afternoon highs are expected to return to the 60s, with some southern and eastern communities approaching the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Overnight lows throughout the weekend will generally remain in the 30s and 40s, with the coolest readings early Saturday morning following frontal passage.

Forecast outlook data shows zero probability of precipitation across the region through Sunday, supporting dry roads and stable conditions for outdoor plans and travel. Areas including Pine Bluff, Hot Springs, Russellville, Searcy, and Jonesboro are all expected to experience similar temperature trends.

The National Weather Service notes that while no hazardous weather is expected, residents should be prepared for temperature swings from day to day. Overall, the weekend pattern favors dry weather, mild afternoons, and seasonably cool mornings across Arkansas.
