LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A late-night police chase in Little Rock turned deadly Wednesday, October 29, 2025, when a speeding vehicle crashed and caught fire following a pursuit by Arkansas State Police.
According to the Arkansas State Police Highway Patrol Division, the incident began around 10:15 p.m. when a Trooper spotted a red Infiniti speeding eastbound on Interstate 30 near the 133-mile marker. The driver allegedly fled after the Trooper attempted a traffic stop, exiting at Geyer Springs Road and continuing at speeds over 100 mph through city streets.
Authorities say the pursuit returned to I-30 westbound, where the suspect vehicle reached speeds exceeding 130 mph before taking the McDaniel Drive exit. The Infiniti then struck another motorist, lost control, and collided with heavy machinery along the service road, igniting into flames.
Troopers were able to rescue one of two passengers before both were pronounced dead at the scene. The 20-year-old male driver from Little Rock was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Baptist Medical Center for treatment. The motorist struck during the chase was not injured.
The ASP Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash. Additional details will be released as the inquiry continues.
