Little Rock, AR – Cooler and drier air is moving into Arkansas following the storm system that swept through the state over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.
Meteorologists forecast overnight lows in the 40s statewide by early Monday morning, signaling a return to more typical fall conditions. Areas such as Fort Smith, Fayetteville, and De Queen could see temperatures near 49°F, while Little Rock, Searcy, and Pine Bluff are expected to bottom out between 46°F and 48°F.
According to the agency, the cool, stable air mass will remain in place through early week, keeping afternoon highs in the 60s and low 70s with low humidity and clear skies. The change follows a line of showers and storms that moved through Saturday, bringing scattered downpours and gusty winds to portions of central and eastern Arkansas.
Residents can expect pleasant fall mornings and crisp evenings through midweek before gradual warming returns later in the week.
