Little Rock, AR – Arkansas residents can expect an unseasonably warm stretch through the workweek, with temperatures across much of the state climbing into the 80s each day through Friday, according to the US National Weather Service in Little Rock.

Forecasters say a few areas could even exceed 85 degrees as high pressure continues to dominate the region. The warmth will persist statewide, from Fort Smith and Jonesboro to Texarkana and Monticello, before a cold front arrives late this weekend.

According to the Weather Service, “Temperature relief is not expected until the weekend,” when the approaching front brings cooler air and potentially lower humidity. Until then, highs will remain well above seasonal averages for mid-October.

Weather models show the best chances for readings above 85°F occurring midweek, particularly on Tuesday and Thursday, with only minor overnight cooling. No rain is expected during this warm spell, which may add to already dry conditions in parts of the state.

Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and take precautions during outdoor activities, especially in areas where afternoon heat builds quickly.
