LITTLE ROCK, AR – Arkansas State Police have charged 20-year-old José Solano Rodríguez of Little Rock with multiple felonies, including two counts of First-Degree Murder, following a deadly high-speed pursuit that killed two teenagers late on October 29, 2025.

According to Arkansas State Police, a trooper attempted to stop Rodríguez’s red 2011 Infiniti around 10:15 p.m. near the 133-mile marker on Interstate 30, after observing him speeding eastbound. Authorities say Rodríguez allegedly fled the scene, exiting at Geyer Springs Road and continuing to drive recklessly at speeds exceeding 100 mph, ignoring traffic lights and endangering other drivers.

The pursuit reentered I-30 westbound, where the vehicle reportedly reached speeds over 130 mph before taking the McDaniel Drive exit. Investigators say Rodríguez’s car struck another motorist, lost control, and crashed into heavy equipment near a business on the service road, igniting on impact.

Two teenage passengers — a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl — were killed in the crash. Rodríguez was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Baptist Medical Center with serious injuries. The other driver was not hurt.

Rodríguez remains hospitalized and faces charges of First-Degree Murder, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and Felony Fleeing.
