Lisle, IL – Lisle is set to host a two-day Independence Day celebration beginning Thursday with fireworks and live music, followed by a community parade and ice cream social on Friday.
According to the Lisle Park District, the festivities begin Thursday, July 3, at Lisle Community Park with the “Summer Entertainment Series: 3rd of July Celebration.” The free event features live performances from Junkyard Groove (5:30–7:00 p.m.) and Fletcher Rockwell (7:30–9:30 p.m.), with fireworks launching at 9:30 p.m. Food trucks, local beverages from Bubblehouse Brewing Company, and a variety of refreshments will be available for purchase.
Attendees are encouraged to walk or bike due to limited parking. Free parking is offered at commuter lots downtown and on Garfield Avenue. Lisle Junior High School will also provide parking access. Handicap parking is available near the north side of the high school via Yackley Avenue.
Friday’s 4th of July Parade kicks off at 10:00 a.m. from Lisle Junior High School. Participants are invited to join a decorated bike lineup starting at 9:30 a.m. The parade route winds through downtown Lisle along Center Avenue and includes appearances by local organizations, public safety departments, and community leaders.
Following the parade, the Lisle Heritage Society will co-host a free ice cream social beginning at 10:45 a.m. at The Museums at Lisle Station Park. The event features live patriotic music from the Lisle Community Band and ice cream provided by Culver’s of Downers Grove.
