Omaha, Nebraska – Mild and seasonably warm weather will continue across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa through the remainder of the week, with periodic chances for precipitation returning by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley, daytime high temperatures will remain above seasonal averages, generally ranging from the 40s to mid-50s through Thursday. Overnight lows are expected to dip into the 20s and 30s, but no prolonged cold air is forecast during this period.
Tuesday will feature partly cloudy skies with highs between 46 and 51 degrees, especially along major travel corridors such as Interstate 80 and Interstate 29. Conditions remain dry, allowing for favorable travel across the metro area and surrounding communities.
Wednesday brings continued mild weather, with highs climbing into the upper 40s to low 50s. Clouds will gradually increase through the day as the next system approaches. While most of Wednesday remains dry, forecasters note that precipitation chances begin to increase late Wednesday into Wednesday night.
By Thursday, a weak disturbance may bring periodic chances for rain, with highs reaching the upper 40s to mid-50s. Some locations could see morning showers, though widespread heavy precipitation is not expected at this time. Any rainfall should remain light and scattered.
Roadways including I-80, I-29, U.S. Highway 75, and U.S. Highway 30 may experience brief reductions in visibility during showers, but significant travel impacts are not anticipated.
The National Weather Service advises residents to remain weather-aware midweek as precipitation timing becomes clearer. Overall, the pattern favors continued mild conditions, manageable travel, and no winter weather hazards.
Above-normal temperatures are expected to persist beyond the end of the workweek, though additional rain chances may develop as systems move through the Plains.
