Lincoln, IL – A few light, spotty showers are possible across Central Illinois this afternoon and evening, but most of the region will remain dry and cool, according to the National Weather Service in Lincoln.

Forecasters say rain chances are limited to about 20%, with highs ranging from 46°F to 55°F today. Skies will clear overnight as lows dip into the upper 20s and mid-30s.

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny and mild, with highs between 53°F and 57°F and less than a 10% chance of rain. Starting Monday, temperatures will trend above normal, climbing into the low to mid-60s under breezy and dry conditions.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, highs are forecast to reach the mid-60s to near 70°F, marking a significant warm-up for early November. Dry weather is expected to dominate through most of the upcoming week.

The Weather Service notes that this pattern will offer ideal travel and outdoor conditions, aside from a brief chance of drizzle today.
